Talisker 10 Year Old Official Brown Bottle Circulated in the 1980s
Bottle #タリスカー(TALISKER)
Among tea bottles, this is not an early example but it's exceptionally delicious.
Talisker TALISKER 10yo OB 45.8%
Circulated in the 1980s
The aroma has a pleasant old-world feel, with dried orange, apricot jam, matured barley notes, oceanic nuances like seaweed and dashi, heavy oiliness, faintly chlorinated and earthen undertones reminiscent of decaying leaves, and a strong peat with some iodine.
When tasted, it is smooth with viscosity, a texture that seeps into the tongue, apricot jam, depth of decaying leaves and leather, a rich sweetness, intense umami from seafood, matured peat, tar, slightly oily with a long finish.

The Talisker Map Label circulated from the 1980s onward. Initially, it was in green bottles but later switched to this brown bottle.
The pleasant old-world feel envelops the entire experience, with heated fruits and seafood dashi-like qualities, matured barley notes, strong peat, and a cohesive blend of earthiness and saltiness.
When tasted, it is smooth and creamy with an immersive texture. The same diverse components from the aroma come together in a unified flavor, making it exceptionally delicious.
While slightly lacking in scale, it has a similar aroma to the green bottle Map Label. Comparing them later revealed many similar expressions, which surprised me.
Perhaps it is one of the earlier bottlings among the Map Labels.
With high satisfaction, it was an old-standard bottle that left me entranced.
