TORMORE 10 Year Old Official 1980s Circulation
Bottle #トーモア(TORMORE)
The old character was slightly strong, but I enjoyed it. TORMORE 10yo OB 43% 1980s Circulation. The aroma has a good old character, ripe oranges, caramel, faint chocolate, mild barley and dashi (Japanese soup stock), a touch of sourness, and subtle peat. Upon drinking, there's orange marmalade, gentle sweetness, a youthful yet strong barley note, kelp dashi, and later on, some vegetable bitterness with peat. The body is slightly light. [Good/Very Good]. This appears to be an official 10-year-old TORMORE from the 1980s. While the aroma has a noticeable old character, it's not unpleasant. Notes of ripe citrus, gentle barley, and dashi were present, along with a surprisingly distinct peat nuance. The old bottle-like caramel character might be polarizing. When drinking, there's a rich citrus note like concentrated orange, and the gentle sweetness was pleasant. A slight bitterness with peat was felt towards the end, but it didn't linger long and finished cleanly.
