Jura 10 Year Old Official 1980s Release

Jura ISLE OF JURA 10 Year Old Official Bottling (OB) 43% ABV, 1980s Release
Bottle #アイルオブジュラ(ISLE OF JURA)
It was quite a different type compared to the 8-year-old from the same period. Jura ISLE OF JURA 10 Year Old Official Bottling (OB) 43% ABV, 1980s Release The aroma has a good old whisky character, ripe orange, apricot jam, concentrated black tea, faint vanilla cream, and peat with a clay-like earthiness from the background. When drinking, it is smooth with slight viscosity, reminiscent of apricot jam but not overly sweet, with distinct barley notes and a slightly penetrating texture. The finish brings a grassy bitterness and a hint of machine oil. 【Good】 This is the official bottling of Jura 10 Year Old released in the 1980s. There is also a similar bottle and label for the 8-year-old. The aroma had a good old whisky character with a diverse range of ripe, rich fruits, and I found the slight earthiness and peat to be impressive. When drinking, it has viscosity and a jam-like quality but isn't overly sweet. It had an old whisky texture that lingers on the tongue, yet I noticed some clay-like earthiness, grassy bitterness, and a hint of machine oil. Interestingly, this is the first time I've had this 10-year-old, as far as my memory goes. Compared to the 8-year-old I've had many times, which had a special kind of deliciousness with tropical fruits, this 10-year-old felt slightly awkward and rustic, which was quite interesting.
