Glen Goyne GLENGOYNE 10yo OB 40%
1980s Bottling
The aroma has good barley notes, orange, honey, oak, a touch of vanilla cream, and a dusty, gentle old feel. Upon drinking, it has a smooth mouthfeel with the sweet notes of ripe orange and honey, along with umami from barley, nuts, and a rich, slightly lustrous impression.
【Good/Very Good】
This is the official 10-year-old standard bottle of Glen Goyne, which circulated until the early 1990s. It was my first time trying it. The aroma has a gentle old feel, with the good barley notes typical of an official standard, along with detectable elements like orange, honey, and vanilla. Upon tasting, it is smooth, with the same sweet notes of ripe orange and honey as the aroma, along with a well-balanced barley umami. It was a bottle that felt rich and slightly lustrous in some way.
