Current Product: Benromach 10 Year Old Official
Bottle #ベンローマック(BENROMACH)
It has a new label, and I think the contents are well made.
Benromach BENROMACH 10yo OB 43%
The aroma has a recent sherry, plum, orange, caramelized nuts, faint vanilla or oak, and a youthful grain note. When drinking it, the mouthfeel is smooth, with orange marmalade or apricot jam, vanilla cream from the back, and a grain note that asserts itself from the depth. It has a slightly flat and forceful sweetness, some acidity, and a balanced finish.
[Good/Very Good]
The recently relabeled Benromach 10 Year Old Official.
The first impression is sherry, but from the back, there's a gradual increase in bourbon cask nuances, giving it a well-balanced sherry influence. The grain note remains firmly present with the youthfulness appropriate for its aging years.
When drinking it, it is smooth, and indeed both sherry cask and bourbon cask nuances are felt together, giving a certain sense of unity. I think it will continue to blend further in the future.
Regarding sweetness, it felt slightly forceful from the sherry cask, but with a rich texture and was delicious.
I thought it was a rather good official standard that conveys the sherry cask influence.
