Lagavulin LAGAVULIN 12yo OB LIMITED EDITION 56.8% bottled in 2015
Bottle #ラガヴーリン(LAGAVULIN)
It's youthful yet delicious. Lagavulin LAGAVULIN 12yo OB LIMITED EDITION 56.8% bottled in 2015 The aroma features apricot jam, orange, caramelized nuts, a strong and good barley note, smoked seafood, and a robust peatiness with some iodine. On the palate, it has a powerful attack, spicy heat, root vegetables, rich sweetness of apricot jam, body, faint acidity, strong young barley notes, intense peat, smoked seafood, nuts, and a long youthful finish. 【Good/Very Good】 This is the latest official release from Lagavulin, a 2014 vintage 12 Year Old Cask Strength bottling. While the series generally tastes better with some aging, we were able to try this new release immediately upon its launch. In addition to the fruity characteristics typical of Lagavulin, there was a bold and thick barley note with strong peatiness. The full-bodied flavor is rich in barley's umami and seafood-like qualities, offering substantial drinking pleasure. At the same time, youthful notes like root vegetable characteristics were also prominent. I recall that when this 12 Year Old Cask Strength series first launched, the flavor was similar to this. Currently, the evaluation is technically on the borderline between G and Very Good. However, it's likely that this will become more rounded and less immature after a few years of aging, resulting in an even tastier whisky. #Lagavulin (LAGAVULIN)
