Dalmore DALMORE 12yo OB 43% Circulated in the 1980s
Bottle #ダルモア(DALMORE)
It had a wonderful old sherry character and was very delicious. Dalmore DALMORE 12yo OB 43% Circulated in the 1980s The aroma features gentle old sherry, dry orange with bitter chocolate, ripe plums, a hint of Concord grape, toasted barley, and a subtle old peat from the background. On the palate, it has a soft mouthfeel with sweetness reminiscent of ripe oranges and marmalade. The barley's umami gradually lingers on the tongue, finishing with a calm old peat note. 【Very Good】 This is the official Dalmore 12 Year Old that circulated in the 1980s. Both aroma and flavor profile contain my favorite old sherry characteristics, with a diverse range of fruitiness. It has jam-like sweetness, the umami of barley that lingers on the tongue as typical of an old-style whisky without being overly matured, and a supporting old peat note. This bottle is a textbook example of my preferred old standard style. Regarding the old character, preferences may vary, but I often take a positive view of these vintage nuances as long as they aren't overpowering.
