I tried it for the first time with the new specifications. Strathisla STRATHISLA 12yo OB 40% The aroma is quite elegant, with green apple candy, orange, slightly youthful barley notes, vanilla, and a touch of raw oak. The mouthfeel is soft with a faint viscosity, followed by orange, cinnamon, honey, and a slightly intense sweetness. Later, there's a hint of raw oak bitterness. [Good] This is the current release of Strathisla 12 Year Old, the official standard bottle. Without realizing it, the unique shape of the tall green square bottle has changed to a Dumpy bottle. It has a vibrant bourbon-like aroma with clear green apple candy and citrus fruit notes, accompanied by slightly youthful barley and raw wood nuances. Upon tasting, it has a slight viscosity and a woody bitterness similar to the aroma, but the intense sweetness was a pleasant surprise, making it a decent standard bottle. The previous bottle design felt more rustic, with slightly different apple notes.
