Glenfarclas GLENFARCLAS 15yo THE WHISKY EXCHANGE "TIME I" 51.3%
one of 271 bottles
The aroma features plum and apricot jam, orange oil, milk chocolate, with a moderate malt and oak.
When drinking, it expands from a smooth mouthfeel, with the rich sweetness of orange cream, gentle tannins, mild maltiness, and a long, sweet finish.
[Good/Very Good]
The first release of The Whisky Exchange's new series, Time Series. As it is labeled as a family-owned distillery, the content inside is Glenfarclas 15 year old.
While official bottles are often darker due to sherry cask maturation, this bottle is not particularly dark in color.
The cask might be a refilled sherry. Despite its age, it has a matured flavor profile with concentrated fruity sweetness, viscosity, and creamy nuances, without the youthful characteristics of maltiness.
It is easy to drink yet has depth, and although it's a younger release, it already has a well-developed flavor and was delicious.
