LONGMORN 15 Year Old Official Bottling Circulated in the 1980s

LONGMORN 15yo OB 43% Circulated in the 1980s
Bottle #ロングモーン(LONGMORN)
As expected from a top-tier dram, this is a delightful fruity Speyside malt. LONGMORN 15yo OB 43% Circulated in the 1980s The nose has a pleasant old-world character, very fruity with notes of overripe oranges and peaches, barrel-aged white wine, a dry and slightly woody grain character, and creaminess. On the palate, it gently expands with flavors of orange and peach, a subtle muscat note, a texture that lingers on the tongue, clean fruity sweetness, gentle grainy flavors and umami, with a finish that brings peatiness and a pleasant fruity aftertaste. 【Very Good】 This is the standard LONGMORN 15 Year Old in a tall bottle, circulated in the 1980s. It has a pleasant old-world character and offers a very diverse, intoxicating range of fruits as described above. It feels like the original fruity character has been enhanced even further through bottle aging. Additionally, there is a noticeable old-world grainy character and creaminess, with some resemblance to fruit cake. The flavor is soft, smooth, and well-rounded. While the diverse range of fruits remains its charm, it also retains a good grainy character and has a pleasant texture that lingers on the tongue, typical of old whiskies. From the depths of the flavor comes a deeper layer of peatiness, giving it an exemplary finish for an old Speyside malt. I have had this bottle multiple times, but this time, perhaps due to the condition and timing, it felt particularly delicious.
