A delicious and stable Sherry cask whisky. Glenfarclas GLENFARCLAS 15yo OB 46% Circulated in the 1980s The aroma has a strong Sherry with an old-fashioned feel, caramel sauce, black sugar, raisins, prunes, a faint earthiness, herbs, and a subtle old peat. When drinking, it has a slightly creamy texture with an old-fashioned Sherry feel, raisins, a strong sweetness and pleasant astringency, earthy notes, with good balance and a pleasant finish throughout. [Good/Very Good] This is an official bottling of Glenfarclas 15 Year Old circulated in the 1980s. While it does not reach the level of a truly intoxicating noble type, it has a strong Sherry character with a rich sense of fruit and caramel, as well as earthiness and herbs. Due to its aging, it has begun to show a creamy texture and diversity. While not overly complex or powerful, the old-fashioned Sherry character is very pleasant and free of any off-putting notes. It was a delightful Glenfarclas with a rich and enjoyable Sherry character.
