Glenlivet GLENLIVET 15yo GM for SESTANTE 57.8% Circulated in the 1980s
Bottle #グレンリベット(GLENLIVET)
A rich and substantial barley note remained clearly. Glenlivet GLENLIVET 15yo GM for SESTANTE 57.8% Circulated in the 1980s The aroma is heavy and concentrated, with a pleasant old-world character, reminiscent of overly boiled apricot tea, apple pie, rich barley notes, cinnamon, and richness. When tasted, it expands powerfully yet aromatically with the rich sweetness of apricot and plum jams, a bold barley umami, the pleasant tannins of concentrated black tea, cinnamon, and a subtle peat. The finish is long, aromatic, and rich. [Very Good] This is a high-proof Smith label Glenlivet 15 Year Old bottled in the 1980s for SESTANTE in Italy. The aroma is more like a concentrated, richly layered fragrance that lingers within the glass rather than spreading out in a floral way. It has an impressive potential with its concentrated fruity sweetness and substantial barley notes, along with a tea-like character and cinnamon that emerge alongside the old-world feel. Upon tasting, it delivers as expected—a well-balanced full-bodied type with a concentrated fruity sweetness, a bold and lingering barley umami, tannins that add depth and structure to the flavor, and a subtle peat in the background. It was an extremely satisfying malt.
