New Release: Royal Brackla 16 Year Old Official Bottling

Royal Brackla ROYAL BRACKLA 16yo OB 40%
Bottle #ロイヤルブラックラ(ROYAL BRACKLA)
This also conveys a sense of enthusiasm for single malt whisky. Royal Brackla ROYAL BRACKLA 16yo OB 40% The aroma is lively and strong, with orange candy, vanilla, oak, and mint. When drinking, it has a soft mouthfeel with the gentle sweetness of orange candy and pleasant barley notes. There's also a slightly woody bitterness, but the flavor is well-balanced. [Good/Very Good] The new release of Royal Brackla, an official bottling aged for 16 years. It seems that several other releases with different aging periods have also been launched. The specifications are quite refined, featuring a high-end bottle and cork. It appears to be mainly influenced by bourbon casks. While there's a slight woody character, elegant elements like vanilla and orange candy, which seem to originate from the aging casks, were noticeable. The gentle sweetness and well-balanced barley notes make for a pleasant flavor, making it enjoyable as a single malt. This Brackla is owned by Bacardi, and recently similar new releases with various aging periods have also come from other distilleries under Bacardi's ownership, such as Ortmore and Craigellachie. Amidst a trend where the number of aged expressions is decreasing and more no-age statements are appearing, this initiative feels like a sign of enthusiasm for single malts. Additionally, each bottle has original specifications, showing dedication. However, personally, I don't find overly intricate designs particularly exciting, and I worry that if the cork breaks, there won't be a replacement.(laughs) By the way, it seems that single malts from distilleries owned by Bacardi don't have official agents. Given the continued enthusiastic releases and the quality of the contents, I hope they can establish a proper official distribution route somewhere. #Royal Brackla (ROYAL BRACKLA)
