New Release: Craigellachie 17 Year Old Official

Craigellachie CRAIGELLACHIE 17yo OB 46% BATCH No.98-ZC21
Bottle #クレイゲラキ(CRAIGELLACHIE)
17 years old seems like a small batch. Craigellachie CRAIGELLACHIE 17yo OB 46% BATCH No.98-ZC21 The aroma is floral and transparent, with notes of orange, lemon, vanilla, gentle barley, white flowers. On the palate, it has a smooth mouthfeel with orange, vanilla, sweet honey-like richness, subtle oak tannins, a hint of toasty char, hay, and barley umami. The finish is clean with lingering notes of barley. [Good/Very Good] New release official bottling from Craigellachie, aged 17 years. Unlike the previously introduced 13-year-old, this one has a batch number indicated, suggesting it's a small batch. The 46% ABV is the same as before. While both the 13-year-old and this one are natural, slightly refined, the 17-year-old feels more polished. Similar to the 13-year-old, there's a slight toasted nuance, possibly from the peat influence. The balance is good with a sense of unity, and the moderate woodiness deepens the flavor. This was also a good new release. By the way, this new release Craigellachie also has a 23-year-old long-aged version available. It seems quite expensive, but I'd like to try it somewhere.
