New Release: GlenGoyne 18 Year Old Official

GlenGoyne GLENGOYNE 18yo OB 43% first fill sherry casks
Bottle #グレンゴイン(GLENGOYNE)
The 18-year-old has a slightly more pronounced recent nuance. GlenGoyne GLENGOYNE 18yo OB 43% first fill sherry casks The aroma features ripe orange, bitter chocolate, vanilla, a faint woody oakiness, Danish pastry, rich, with a smooth mouthfeel. The taste reveals orange marmalade, vanilla, and apple jam sweetness with some viscosity. A good barley depth emerges from the back palate, accompanied by nuts and a slightly oily finish that lingers in the mouth. Rich. [Good] New release from GlenGoyne: GlenGoyne 18 Year Old. Like the previously introduced 25 Year Old, 21 Year Old, and cask strength expressions, this is also matured in sherry casks. As expected for a whisky promoting sherry cask maturation, the sherried characteristics are clearly present in the flavor profile. While rich and not bad, compared to the 25 Year Old and 21 Year Old, it gives the impression that recent sherry cask nuances have become stronger, with a slightly greenish woody character that felt slightly off. The good barley character remains due to not being over-matured, which was a positive impression. The slightly oily finish lingers long in the mouth, and overall, the drinking experience was more favorable than the aroma. #GlenGoyne (GLENGOYNE)
