As expected for a whisky promoting sherry cask maturation, the sherried characteristics are clearly present in the flavor profile. While rich and not bad, compared to the 25 Year Old and 21 Year Old, it gives the impression that recent sherry cask nuances have become stronger, with a slightly greenish woody character that felt slightly off. The good barley character remains due to not being over-matured, which was a positive impression.
