It has a heaviness so profound it's hard to tell if it's diluted, and a noble sherry.

The aroma is a rich, concentrated berry jam with grape juice, caramel sauce, bitter chocolate, American coffee, mirin, balsamic vinegar, with a strong woody note that has incense and leather, rich.
When drinking it, it starts with a smooth mouthfeel that expands into an aromatic depth, slightly viscous, with a noble old sherry that intoxicates, the intense sweetness of berry jam and strong body, light acidity, herbs and spices, a strong woody note with tannins coating the mouth, sufficient body, rich and long finish.
[Very Good/Excellent]
Samaroli bottled in 1984, Glenmorangie 1959. Aged for 25 years.
From the very beginning of the aroma, a strong noble old sherry feeling is strongly felt.
The concentrated berry and grape juice nuances were very impressive. Also, the caramel, chocolate, coffee typical of sherry casks, along with nuances like mirin and balsamic vinegar were strongly felt. The woody note was slightly strong, very rich.
When drinking it, as expected from a concentrated sherry cask, it transitions into a smooth mouthfeel with a viscous texture, showing an aromatic spread.
There is a jam-like sweetness and body, the woody note and its tannins are quite strong, coating the mouth, but not a bitter taste, rather creating a rich and thick body.
The malt character may have weakened due to aging or been covered by the sherry cask, but the sherry character that came forward was wonderful.
In any case, the body is unexpected for a diluted whisky, and there was an intoxicating long finish with a rich sherry character.
A very satisfying old sherry cask Murray.
This bottle was obtained from IAN at Mitsukoshi-mae.
