It was definitely a high-priced bottle, with a list price exceeding 50,000 yen. At the time of release, I remember thinking who would buy such an expensive bottle, but now it's far from overpriced. It has significantly increased in value within about 10 years. Thus, I didn't have the chance to drink it back then. This is my first time trying it, and it exceeded my expectations with its fruity standout character. It has a long-aged intoxicating sensation of diverse fruits, and a gentle depth from sherry notes. It has a fruity aroma reminiscent of tropical fruits without any chemical elements, which is very appealing. Although it lacks body due to the cask strength reduction in alcohol content, it's a bottle that allows true intoxication with its standout fruitiness. To be honest, the absence of chemical-like characteristics found in recent bottlings of 1970s Glenglassaugh is a very positive impression.
