Veronelli's 1965, a rich and aromatic 60s Bruichladdich. Bruichladdich BRUICHLADDICH 1965 22yo RISERVA VERONELLI 48.8% one of 2400 bottles The aroma is elegant, with a good old feel, rich and complex, apricot jam, baked apple, vanilla cream, strong black tea, old woodiness, faintly toasted barley. Upon drinking, it spreads smoothly from a smooth mouthfeel to rich aromas of baked apple, apricot jam, thick sweetness, strong woodiness, and a long finish. 【Very Good】 An official Bruichladdich 1965 bottled for the Italian Veronelli magazine, aged for 22 years. Besides this bottle, there is also a 1966 vintage in the Reserve Veronelli series. The 1966 is in a sherry cask, while this 1965 is rumored to be in a bourbon cask, though details are unclear. The aroma is elegant, with strongly sensed heated-concentrated fruits like baked apple and apricot jam often found in 60s Bruichladdich. There are also nuances of old woodiness and strong black tea, making it complex and rich. When tasted, despite its high proof, it spreads smoothly from a smooth mouthfeel to rich aromas. There was again a nuance of baked apple, with thick sweetness and body. The woodiness was somewhat strong, but it had depth, richness, and a long finish, which left a good impression.
