Benromach BENROMACH 1966-1993 27yo CADENHEAD 53.5%
Bottle #ベンローマック(BENROMACH)
A remarkably sensuous and alluring Benromach. Benromach BENROMACH 1966-1993 27yo CADENHEAD 53.5% The aroma is immediately complex and alluring, with a pleasant old-world feel, apricot jam, baked apple, grape notes reminiscent of Cognac, pear from the depths, a rich maltiness with a sense of thickness, leather, concentrated black tea, slightly earthen and antique furniture-like notes, richness. Upon drinking, it expands powerfully with a fragrant depth, featuring apricot and apple jam, grape notes of Cognac, refined elegance with a rich sweetness, deeply penetrating maltiness, faintly old peat, sensuously sexy, and a long, pleasant aftertaste. 【Very Good/Excellent】 This Benromach 1966, aged for 27 years and bottled by Cadenhead in a green bottle. From the start, it presented an extraordinary complex aroma of malt that immediately captivated with its sensuality. Notes of heated, concentrated fruits and an old Cognac-like nuance were evident, along with a subtle estery quality. Notably, it also had a robust maltiness that conveyed thickness, with a well-balanced complexity and aging depth. In flavor, it similarly offered complex, aged fruitiness with thickness and a refined texture, all while maintaining its sensuous allure. Compared to the previously tasted same green bottle Cadenhead GlenDronach, it slightly fell short in scale and sensuality but remained an outstanding malt until the final lingering aftertaste. This further reinforced my impression that Cadenhead casks of this specification often house exceptional quality. #Benromach (BENROMACH)
