Rich, heavy, and very delicious, yet distinctive with a hearty, gourmet character. Tullibardine TULLIBARDINE 1966 34yo KINGSBURY celtic #2120 55.4% one of 177 bottles, hogshead The aroma is strong with cinnamon-spiced apple pie, spicy and robust herbal medicine like kakkonjou (a traditional Japanese remedy), mint, herb liqueur, and a deep barley note. Upon tasting, it expands from a pleasant initial spice into rich cinnamon, herbal medicine with bitterness, and a thick texture with concentrated sweetness. It has a slightly oily finish that lingers long. 【Very Good, Interesting】 This is Tullibardine 1966, a 34-year-old whisky from the Kingsbury Celtic series, cask number #2120. It was opened to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Yorakucho Campbelltown Loch. The aroma is quite strong, with nuances of apple pie and mint, as well as distinct herbal medicine and bitter liqueur notes. Upon tasting, it delivers an expected rich expansion with a viscous texture, heavy flavor, and concentrated sweetness. As with the aroma, the herbal medicine and sweet-bitter liqueur notes are clearly pronounced. The depth and long finish were quite impressive. It's rare to encounter a malt with such strong herbal medicine characteristics, and while it can be described as a gourmet whisky, its depth as a malt is also noteworthy. I felt that having one at home would be a luxurious and happy experience.
