Longmorn LONGMORN 1967-2008 GM Distillery Labels for JIS #3348 50% one of 156 bottles, Refill Sherry Hogshead
Bottle #ロングモーン(LONGMORN)
As expected for GM's 60s Longmorn, JIS got a good cask. Longmorn LONGMORN 1967-2008 GM Distillery Labels for JIS #3348 50% one of 156 bottles, Refill Sherry Hogshead The aroma is noble sherry, mint, apricot and berry jam, grape juice, herbs, a bit of oil, solid woody, rich. When drinking, noble sherry, mint, sweet and sour grape juice, woody character and pleasant astringency, long finish. 【Very Good】 Bottled by GM for JIS in 2008, this Longmorn 1967 has aged for approximately 41 years. As expected, the noble sherry character with rich grape notes is overflowing from aroma to flavor. While this sherry cask type offers the expected diversity, the mint is slightly strong, and while the woody character is robust as befits a long maturation, it lacks the bitterness sometimes found in GM's long-matured Longmorn. It seems water addition may have helped. This range of Longmorn always makes me feel it's a special malt when I occasionally drink it.
