A remarkably fruity and intoxicating bottle. GlenGlassaugh GLENGLASSAUGH 1967-2010 OB 'The Manager's Legacy' 40.4% One of 200 bottles, Refill Hogshead The aroma is sensually strong and rising, intensely fruity with dripping grape juice and its skin, Armagnac, passion fruit, bitter chocolate, dried fruits and bouquet garni, pleasant woodiness, complex and captivating sexiness. When drinking, it starts with a calm and smooth mouthfeel that expands into an aromatic richness, the same strong grape juice and skin as in the aroma, juicy sweetness, a pleasant tannin, no dryness but a lingering body, and a long, captivating aftertaste. [Very Good/Excellent] This is the official GlenGlassaugh 1967 bottled in 2010 under the name 'The Manager's Legacy'. The aroma is intensely strong, remarkably fruity and sensually captivating from the start. Particularly impressive was the sensation of grape juice pressed with the skin, accompanied by a suspicious nuance reminiscent of Armagnac made from distilling it, and further tropical fruits like passion fruit emerge. There are also tightening nuances of chocolate and herbs, so it's not one-sidedly fruity. The mouthfeel is smooth and calm yet has a rich expansion. It has the same wonderful grape sensation and juice as the aroma, with a balanced sweetness and tannin, and despite its low alcohol content, the body is clearly felt. The captivating, sensual aftertaste lingers long and intoxicates. While the aging has softened the barley notes, there's no dryness, and the fruitiness and depth of flavor more than compensate for the lack of barley character and low alcohol content. It was a malt that immediately stood out from first impressions.
