Bottle #ブルイックラディ(BRUICHLADDICH)
A rich and powerful Bruichladdich, a wonderful expression. Bruichladdich BRUICHLADDICH 1970 10yo OB 54% The nose is rich and viscous, with notes of apricot jam, ripe apples, caramel, cinnamon, and a subtle peat. Upon tasting, it starts with a soft mouthfeel that expands into an aromatic complexity of apricot jam sweetness, good oak tannins, considerable richness, excellent barley character, a powerful body, and a long finish. [Very Good] An official bottling from Bruichladdich, distilled in 1970 and aged for 10 years at cask strength. From the first sniff, a strong sense of richness is felt, with jam-like qualities complemented by Calvados and ripe apples—elements often found in the excellent Bruichladdich expressions of that era. Upon tasting, it has a surprisingly soft mouthfeel for its ABV, but then expands into an aromatic complexity, with a body that is undeniably thick. It has concentrated fruity sweetness and barley depth, making it quite rich. It's hard to comprehend how such a result could be achieved with only 10 years of aging, but perhaps it has some long-aged components. A remarkable bottle combining intense fruity notes, barley character, and a powerful body.
