It was an amazing and intoxicating experience beyond expectations. Springbank SPRINGBANK 1970-2003 32yo OB #2966 53.1% One of 216 bottles The aroma is lavish and reminiscent of perfume, with overripe apricot and peach, gentle yet pleasant oak, nuts, ginger, a subtle peat, and a rich depth that is simply captivating. When tasted, it begins with a smooth mouthfeel that expands into an aromatic complexity. Jam made from plums and peaches, a rich and pleasant sweetness, oak with a resinous touch, gradually intensifying briny notes, deep umami flavors, and an intense lingering finish. [Excellent] This is the official single cask Springbank 1970, bottled in 2003 after 32 years of maturation, with the number #2966. From the very first whiff, it delivers a strong aromatic perfume reminiscent of classic Springbank, with fruity and oaky notes that are pleasant, accompanied by a subtle peat, creating a diverse and captivating aroma. When tasted, it is well-rounded, aromatic, and richly complex. In addition to a concentrated fruity character, there is also a faint resinous note reminiscent of local barleys, giving it an extremely intoxicating quality. I would have loved to savor its long and lingering finish forever. The bottle aging has had a clearly positive effect, with an excellent drinking window, making it very satisfying. #Springbank (SPRINGBANK)
