KNOCKANDO 1972-1984 Official
Bottle #ノッカンドゥ(KNOCKANDO)
Elegant and refreshing, the fruity notes with bottle aging were truly delightful.
KNOCKANDO KNOCKANDO 1972-1984 OB 40%
The aroma is elegant, with a good old feel, citrus and grapefruit, ripe apricot, fresh floral notes, diluted honey, dried barley, old peat, and well water grass. Upon tasting, it has a smooth mouthfeel with fresh citrus, planty notes without bitterness, refined sweetness reminiscent of Japanese rice candy (wasure), gentle barley notes, light and clear body, ending with a delicate finish.
[Good/Very Good]
This is an official bottling of KNOCKANDO from 1972 and 1984.
The label, marked with Justerini & Brooks Ltd., is one of my favorite labels. It has an old feel, but the aroma is very elegant with fresh citrus and floral notes, as well as nuances of ripe apricot. There are also barley notes with a grassy and old peat character, allowing for an enjoyable complexity in the aroma. Upon tasting, although the body is light, it has refreshing fruits and planty notes with a smooth refined sweetness, resulting in a clean flavor profile. Originally diluted, but after bottling, the body became even lighter, and with that came a stronger impression of elegant fruity notes.
