Ardbeg 1972-2000 28 Year Old Kingsbary Hand Writing 49.2%

#アードベッグ(ARDBEG)
Early hand-writing, as expected, had a remarkable aroma. Ardbeg ARDBEG 1972-2000 28yo KINGSBURY HAND WRITING 49.2% The aroma had a precise creosote-like sensation, chlorine and metal, coolness, disinfectant, a strong smoky ash-like quality, apricot jam, orange, vanilla, dry grain notes, and a strong earthy character. When tasted, it starts with a gentle mouthfeel that expands powerfully, with a rich and slightly chewy texture, a sweet and full-bodied flavor, mild acidity, strong chlorine and metal notes, and a long cool, smoky finish. 【Very Good】 Ardbeg 1972 from the Kingsbary Hand Writing series, aged for 28 years. Hand-writing is part of the Kingsbary high-range series, but this label is believed to be from the early days. In both aroma and flavor, it truly represents Ardbeg from the early 1970s with a cool nuance of chlorine and minerals, strong smoke, and earthiness, while also having a rich fruity nuance. 1972 would be a time when Ardbeg was doing its own floor malting, and as such, it has a concentrated feel with richness and umami, making for a powerful bottle. Personally, I find some 1970s Ardbeg to be a bit difficult to approach due to their coolness, but this bottle has a gentler side due to its long aging, and despite the strong flavor, it maintains high-level balance, making it quite approachable. This bottle was kindly provided by Fingal on Kagurazaka. #Ardbeg (ARDBEG)
