【Good/Very Good】
This is a single cask Glenlivet 1972, aged for 30 years from the John Milroy Selection.
It has a strong but clean cask aroma, and although it's long-aged, the barley character is clearly felt. Orange, honey, vanilla are also present but complexity isn't very high.
When drinking, there is a stimulating sensation due to the alcohol content but it's not rough, possibly due to aging or bottle variation. The rich sweetness of orange and honey, along with the strong umami of barley, is felt directly.
Possibly due to its plain cask feel, the aging sensation isn't very long but with a smooth texture, it's a malt where the barley umami is clearly felt and was quite enjoyable.
