The label is in rough condition, but the contents were an outstanding brilliance. Longrow LONGROW 1973-1985 OB for SAMAROLI 53% The aroma features prosciutto melon, grapefruit, wet leather, cheese, vanilla, chlorine, honey, seafood stock, savory barley, earth, smoke, tar, complex and rich. Upon drinking, it spreads with a faint viscosity, aromatic and spicy, with grapefruit peel, subtle guava or peach, vanilla, high-quality lamb meat, strong umami from barley, cheese umami, intense smoke and tar, with a long, rich aftertaste. 【Excellent】 Samaroli bottled this official Longrow 1973 as a high-proof release in 1985. The aroma brings forth elements like prosciutto melon and citrus fruits, along with wet leather, cheese, stock, earth, a hint of chlorine-like notes and strong peatiness typical of Longrow at the time. The taste is powerful yet aromatic, and due to bottle aging, subtle guava or peach notes were also detected. The umami was not only from barley but also reminiscent of cheese and lamb meat, which left a strong impression. Of course, the peatiness is strong, though not as intense as Ardbeg, and overall it has a slightly cool impression. It contrasted nicely with the warmer nuances of the simultaneously drunk Dornanach. A malt that is a block of peat and umami, it was exceptionally delicious. Although Samaroli had a particular fondness for Longrow, this bottle certainly justifies that preference. This bottle was received as a gift at the 16th-anniversary event of Campbelltown Loch in Ginza. This year marked the first Samaroli collective opening since the 10th-anniversary commemoration, but as usual, it sold out quickly. #Longrow (LONGROW)
