Teaninich TEANINICH 1973-1998 SAMAROLI 45%
Bottle #ティーニニック(TEANINICH)
A very pleasant aroma with a strong, viscous feel. Teaninich TEANINICH 1973-1998 SAMAROLI 45% The aroma is strong, rich and slightly sticky with nuances of apricot jam, tree resin, wax, cinnamon-spiced apple pie, and a solid, calm plant-like note. Upon drinking, it starts with a gentle mouthfeel that expands, with some viscosity but not as intense as one might imagine from the aroma. Flavors include plum, apricot jam, light honey and caramel, with a mild sweetness. There is also a slight bitterness from plant notes that adds depth to the flavor. 【Good/Very Good】 This is the Teaninich 1973 Samaroli bottled in 1998. The strong, viscous aroma is very impressive. It gives a slightly Clynelish-like impression with notes of wax, tree resin, and apricot jam. I also felt the cinnamon-like nuance typical of Teaninich, which combined with apple notes made me think of apple pie. The plant-like character was also somewhat strong. When drinking, it starts with a gentle mouthfeel typical of watered-down whisky and then gradually expands in flavor. Perhaps due to the watering down, it does not have the strong viscosity one might expect from the aroma. The sweetness is also not as intense or sticky as expected, but it has a refined taste that gives an elegant impression.
