Glencadam GLENCADAM 1973-2006 BBR #706 46%
The aroma has a long-matured feel with estery notes, plum and apricot jam, orange oil, a refined barley scent, slightly nutty, complex and rich.
When you drink it, it starts with a smooth mouthfeel that expands into an aromatic richness, featuring orange cream, a rich sweetness, and a woody bitterness that tightens the flavor, nuts, slightly oily with body, and leaves a pleasant long finish. [Very Good]
This Glencadam 1973 was bottled by BBR in 2006, matured for approximately 33 years and is a watered-down type.
As expected of a long-matured watered-down whisky, it is very floral with good aroma development and complexity. Particularly notable was the diverse fruity sensation with an estery quality.
When drinking, it surprisingly retains a good body and has an aromatic expansion. The strong nuance of orange cream was especially impressive, along with the good balance between the rich sweetness and the woody depth that enhances the flavor.
This is an excellent long-matured watered-down Glencadam, with a pleasant drinking experience that makes it easy to keep drinking.
