Bottle #ティーニニック(TEANINICH)
Slightly weak and light, but it conveys the character of a long-aged whisky. Teaninich TEANINICH 1973-2012 BBR for BOISDALE #6066 40.1% One of 126 bottles, HOGSHEAD The aroma is light and elegant, with estery notes of long aging, loquat and orange cream, a solid floral presence, cinnamon, vanilla. On the palate, it has a soft mouthfeel with citrus, white wine, and grassy plant-like qualities, cinnamon, vanilla, and a touch of peat. The sweetness is refined, with a pleasant but short finish. [Good/Very Good] This Teaninich 1973, bottled for BOISDALE by BBR and filled in 2012, is nearly 40 years old. It appears to be cask strength, though the alcohol content has dropped to just below 40%. The aroma is remarkably light and elegant, with a diverse range of fruity notes. There are floral elements and the cinnamon flavor often associated with Teaninich. On the palate, it has a soft mouthfeel with a lack of expansion, but there is a refined nuance of citrus and white wine. The sweetness is elegant, though it has a slightly dried-out feel with no body. The finish is short but pleasant. It was a light, fruity bottle reminiscent of what is often found in bottlings from Duncan Taylor rather than BBR.
