【Very Good】
This is a BANFF 1974, 32-year-old matured whisky from DOUGLAS LAING's OMC.
Even though it is an OMC, it has been bottled at cask strength because of its alcohol content below 50%.
The aroma is slightly waxy and oily, with fruity notes like apricot jam and white grape. It also has a viscous component reminiscent of nut cream. Additionally, there is a pleasant woody note with a slight hinoki-like character, making it a very complex aroma.
When drinking, the texture is smooth as expected from the aroma. The flavor has a rich sweetness with good acidity and bitterness, giving it depth.
This is a complex and rich long-matured BANFF with no drawbacks, and it was very delicious.
