Ardbeg 1975-1990 Samaroli

Ardbeg ARDBEG 1975-1990 SAMAROLI 57%, one of 480 bottles
Bottle #アードベッグ(ARDBEG)
As expected, the body of Ardbeg from the 1970s combined with Samaroli is spot on. Ardbeg ARDBEG 1975-1990 SAMAROLI 57% one of 480 bottles The aroma is cool, sharp, and strong peat, smoke, chlorine, metallic, lemon, strong barley notes, solid blue cheese, brine, smoked fish, dashi. Upon drinking, it has sharp peat with lemon, chlorine, strong smoke, oil, blue cheese, and rich barley umami. It has a powerful thick body, a moderate sweetness, oily and long finish. 【Very Good】 This is the 1975 Ardbeg bottled by Samaroli in 1990, aged for about 15 years. From the aroma, I clearly sensed the cool chlorine and metallic notes typical of 1970s Ardbeg, as well as the strong peat and seafood dashi characteristic of Islay malt, along with nuances of blue cheese. Tasting it also gave the same 1970s-style chlorine and metallic notes, as well as umami from cheese and seafood dashi. The powerful body typical of Islay malt was also impressive. It had a long finish and provided a high level of satisfaction. Compared to the recently tasted Samaroli Ardbeg 1974, which was very impressive, this one lacks the sharpness and has a slightly rustic feel, making it seem slightly inferior. However, it is a bottle full of the powerful presence typical of Islay and provided satisfaction with each sip and a long finish. This bottle was kindly gifted by IAN from Mitsukoshi-mae.
