LONGMORN LONGMORN 1975-2008 33yo Montgomerie's #3949 55.2%
Bottle #ロングモーン(LONGMORN)
This Longmorn has a slightly similar impression to Benriach. LONGMORN LONGMORN 1975-2008 33yo Montgomerie's #3949 55.2% The aroma is strong and fruity, with ripe apricot, pear, pineapple, a gentle malty note. Upon drinking, it starts with a smooth mouthfeel and expands into a rich flavor, slightly chemical but tropical pineapple-like, a moderately sweet taste, creaminess, a light malty note, and a long fruity finish. [Good/Very Good] This Longmorn was bottled by Montgomerie's in 2008, aged for 33 years from 1975. It has a refined and fruity aroma typical of the Speyside long-matured malt, with a tropical flavor that has slightly chemical nuances. From this era of vintage, Longmorn often had these chemical nuances and could be difficult to distinguish from Benriach when tasted blind. This bottle was no exception. Fruity notes dominate, and it still has a satisfying drinkability. It was a delicious Speyside malt.
