When drunk, it is smooth with some viscosity, the barley's umami lingers on the tongue, with notes of orange and apple, a slightly dried plant sensation, honey-like sweetness, and a slightly creamy finish. [Good/Very Good] The Benromach 1976 from Hart Brothers, aged for 18 years, is believed to have been bottled around 1994. Although approximately 20 years since bottling, it has developed a nice old character, becoming smooth and refined with a slightly velvety nuance.
