Bottle #モストウィー(MOSSTOWIE)
A delicious Mossotwie in the style of Lowland Still. Mossotwie MOSSOTWIE 1976 23yo KINGSBURY celtic #12888 54.8% one of 240 bottles, bourbon The aroma is sharp and strong, with cinnamon, ginger, a forceful but not rough barley character, apple, diluted orange oil, faint apricot tea and custard. On the palate, it starts with a slightly sharp, stimulating attack that expands into a fragrant depth. It has transparency but also an unexpected touch of viscosity and some chewiness in texture, with cinnamon, ginger, strong umami barley notes, honey-like sweetness, a linear impression, and a long, pleasant finish. [Good/Very Good] This is Mossotwie 1976, 23-year-old from the Celtic series of Kingsbury. It was opened to commemorate the 15th anniversary of Yamatech Campbelltown Loch. The aroma is sharp, with a strong sense of forceful barley character accompanied by cinnamon and ginger-like notes. The fruitiness feels like it surrounds the barley character. When drinking, it has a sharp yet slightly transparent flavor while also feeling viscous and concentrated. Overall, it has transparency and a straightforward, linear nuance, which I thought was reminiscent of Lowland Still. However, it also clearly has additional elements like viscosity and concentration. Among the many opened Celtics this time, it's hard to deny its small-scale nature in terms of vintage and brand, but personally I quite liked it.
