GlenDronach GLENDRONACH 1977-2001 Scotch Single Malt Circle #3718 53.2%
Bottle #グレンドロナック(GLENDRONACH)
I thought this was a bottle that could clearly convey the style of the original spirit. GlenDronach GLENDRONACH 1977-2001 Scotch Single Malt Circle #3718 53.2% The aroma has vanilla, strong and rich barley notes, citrus, clay, and upon drinking it expands from a smooth mouthfeel with concentrated citrus and rich barley umami, with a moderate sweetness. It has a plain and rugged impression but is straightforwardly delicious. 【Good/Very Good】 From the Scotch Single Malt Circle in Germany, GlenDronach 1977-2001, aged for approximately 24 years. Recently, Dronach is often associated with sherry cask styles, but this one has a light color and plain barrel characteristics. Perhaps due to the plain cask, the barley notes remain strong despite the aging period, and it doesn't feel particularly complex. However, I strongly felt a rugged, clay-like nuance that could be considered the unique character of Dronach, often found deeper within sherry casks in recent releases. This was a Dronach that conveyed the original spirit's character and the straightforward deliciousness of barley.
