Bottle #ハイランドパーク(HIGHLANDPARK)
Indeed, this Highland Park had strong orange notes with a light peat. Highland Park HIGHLAND PARK 1977-2010 32 Year Old HART BROTHERS 47.0% The aroma was slightly floral, with orange peel, apple, strong but matured barley, vanilla, and a light peat. Upon tasting, there was a pronounced orange flavor, a rich sweetness, a strong nuttiness, good oak, and a gentle peat that lingered in the finish. [Good/Very Good] This Highland Park 1977, aged for 32 years, was released by Hart Brothers in 2010. This bottle still holds memories of its initial release, and this was the second time I've tasted it. The aroma had a refined maturity with citrus notes like orange peel and a good barley character, while the peat was subtle. Upon tasting, the strong orange flavor stood out, and the rich sweetness left a favorable impression. The nuts were barely perceptible in previous tastings but felt more pronounced this time. The peat was not overpowering, lacking thickness but presenting a clean Highland Park without roughness. 1977 is associated with the Bicentenary vintage, and I remember that a similar vintage Agency bottling released shortly after this bottle had a more pronounced peatiness and a rugged character, making this bottle an excellent comparison. Revisiting this Hart Brothers bottling allowed me to clearly appreciate the nuttiness often found in other 1977 vintages, which was a pleasant discovery. #Highland Park (HIGHLANDPARK)
