Bottle #グレンロセス(GLENROTHES)
The maturity of The Agency and the essence of Glenrothes were both clearly present. Glenrothes GLENROTHES 1980-2014 34yo THE WHISKY AGENCY private stock 48.5% one of 180 bottles, Refill Hogshead A very mature aroma with a floral, estery character, wax, white peach, orange liqueur, black tea, vanilla cream, gentle cereal notes. On the palate, light and estery with peach, white peach, orange, pineapple juice, chamomile, fruity cake sweetness, strong oak with a subtle tannic edge, and a clean finish. 【Good/Very Good】 Recently released by The Whisky Agency, this is a private stock Glenrothes from 1980, aged for 34 years. The aroma is immediately vibrant, with a rich array of fruity esters often found in long-aged bottles from Duncan Taylor or The Agency, accompanied by the creamy nuances typical of Glenrothes, giving it a cake-like fragrance. The cereal notes are more subdued, taking a backseat to the fruitiness. On the palate, the same vibrant fruity character is present, with added complexity reminiscent of pineapple juice. It feels less alcoholic than its ABV suggests. The distinct fruity cake-like character of a long-aged Glenrothes is clearly evident, though the strong oak and subtle tannic bitterness linger slightly. However, rather than cutting off abruptly, these elements add depth to the overall profile.
