Recent Release: Bunnahabhain 1980 33 Year Old The Whisky Agency Private Stock

Bunnahabhain 1980-2013 33yo The Whisky Agency private stock 48.9%, one of 109 bottles, EX-SHERRY BUTT
Bottle #ブナハーブン(BUNNAHABHAIN)
It has a rich sherry character from the 80s, which is not bad. The aroma is strong sherry, plum jam, orange marmalade, milk chocolate, herbs, rich. Even when drinking, the sherry nuances are strong, with a ripe orange and apricot jam sweetness, good tannins, faint plant-like notes and bitterness, with a rich and long finish. [Good/Very Good] This is Bunnahabhain 1980, 33 years old from The Whisky Agency's private stock. While the 80s sherry casks can be concerning for off-flavors like sulfur, this bottle has a clear sherry character in both aroma and flavor without those negative elements. It offers rich, diverse sherry notes, jammy sweetness, good tannins, and a subtle bitterness typical of Bunnahabhain. Despite its long aging, the body was still substantial. It was a rather good sherry-aged Bunnahabhain.
