Brora BRORA 1982-2006 24yo GM Connoisseurs Choice 43% Refill Sherry Butts
Bottle #ブローラ(BRORA)
A fruity Brora. Delicious. Brora BRORA 1982-2006 24yo GM Connoisseurs Choice 43% Refill Sherry Butts The aroma features ripe orange and apricot, oil, vanilla, a gentle grainy note, a touch of earthiness, and a slow-burning smokiness reminiscent of straw. On the palate, it offers a smooth mouthfeel with slight viscosity, gradually spicy notes, jammy apple and apricot, rich sweetness, a slightly chewy graininess, with earth and smoke emerging from the depths. [Good/Very Good] This Brora 1982 was bottled in 2006 as part of the GM Connoisseurs Choice series. Due to being bottled 10 years after distillation, this Brora exhibits significant fruitiness, with a notable fruity character and oily nuances reminiscent of Clydesdale. Naturally, there is also peatiness with a smoky quality akin to smoked straw. When drinking, it offers a texture similar to Clydesdale with fruity characteristics, along with earthiness and smokiness. Surprisingly, the grain notes were also well-defined, which was a pleasant aspect. I often find that fruity Broras share commonalities with Clydesdale, and this bottle was no exception.
