Calila CAOL ILA 1982-2008 26yo James MacArthur's OLD MASTERS #733 55.2%
Bottle #カリラ(CAOL ILA)
This was a rich and smooth bottle for Calila. Calila CAOL ILA 1982-2008 26yo James MacArthur's OLD MASTERS #733 55.2% The aroma is soft and gentle, with apricot jam, damp barley, a rounded yet strong peat, smoke, faint iodine, dashi, and leather. When drinking it, the texture is fairly rounded and viscous but becomes spicy over time with a tingling sensation. There's sweetness from apricot jam and honey, some concentration, richness, mint, rich peatiness, and a long finish. [Good/Very Good] Calila 1982, aged for 26 years from James MacArthur's Old Masters. A special silk-screened bottle. Although Calila is often known for its sharp and clear nuances, this bottle may have some changes after bottling, but it is relatively mellow with a viscous texture for Calila. It has sweet notes of jam and honey, a concentrated and rich flavor, and the peatiness typical of an Islay cask strength, which was very satisfying. #Calila (CAOL ILA)
