Dufftown DUFFTOWN 1985-2013 28yo OB SINGLETON SPECIAL RELEASE 52.3% one of 3816 bottles The aroma is elegant, estery, and fruity with a sense of maturity, featuring hints of light pear, orange, vanilla, fresh plant notes, cream, and fruit cake. Upon tasting, the same matured fruity estery character is present with a strong mint note and refined sweetness and acidity of fruit syrup. Although it lacks body, the taste is balanced with a clear transparency. [Good/Very Good] Singleton for Europe is Dufftown, and its limited long-aged version was released locally. Incidentally, Singleton's Asian release is Glen Ord, the American one is Glendullan, and for Europe it is this Dufftown. The aroma has a rich estery fruity character with a creamy texture, reminiscent of fruit cake. Upon tasting, the same matured fruity notes are strong and noticeable, with a refreshing minty nuance that leaves an impression. Although it has a slightly light body for its alcohol content, the taste is clear and refined with a balance of sweetness and acidity. As a long-aged malt, its level of completion is high, and it feels like a special release that was bottled with carefully selected matured casks.
