The label from this era of The Whisky Fair is quite exciting. Talisker TALISKER 1986-2005 19yo The Whisky Fair #1485 45.9% One of 252 bottles, Bourbon Hogshead The aroma is elegant and concentrated citrus, faintly pickled, slightly damp barley, strong wet peat. Upon drinking, it expands from a smooth mouthfeel with concentrated citrus, barley umami, and solid peat, leaving a pleasant aftertaste. [Good/Very Good] This Talisker 1986, aged for 19 years, was bottled by The Whisky Fair Limburg in 2005 with the TALIMBURG label. At that time, The Whisky Fair had an image of bottling only high-quality products, albeit at a high price, which makes this bottle exciting. It has an elegant aroma with concentrated citrus and strong wet peat, along with a slightly pickled, unique flavor element. When drinking, it expands from a smooth mouthfeel similar to cask strength. The citrus has a concentrated feel and the barley umami is well-perceived. The aftertaste with fruits, barley, and peat was long-lasting and pleasant.
