Bottle #クラガンモア(CRAGGANMORE)
As expected from Old & Rare. A rich, full-bodied, and delicious Speyside malt. Cragganmore CRAGGANMORE 1986-2017 30yo HUNTER LAING Old & Rare 59.7% One of 167 bottles, Refill Hogshead The aroma is softly sweet and sticky, with apricot jam, tree resin and wax, rock candy, a rich, savory malt, luxurious oak, and oil. When drinking, it has a viscous, chewy concentration, with a rich, sweet flavor of apricot jam and rock candy, and a firm tightening oakiness. The well-preserved malty umami is also noticeable, with a rich and long finish. 【Very Good】 This is the new release from Hunter Laing's flagship series, Old & Rare, of Cragganmore 1986, aged for 30 years. From the aroma to the flavor, it has a concentrated malt with a sticky viscosity and nuances reminiscent of wax and tree resin, similar to Clydesdale. It was also impressive that the rich sweetness and well-preserved malty umami were both present, with oak adding a firm structure to the flavor. It's a very high-level malt. It's also great that there was almost no bitterness or lingering aftertaste. While the oakiness might be slightly too rich for some, the satisfaction of a single glass is solid and convincing. It's a nice cask that Hunter Laing confidently released as part of their Old & Rare collection. #Cragganmore (CRAGGANMORE)
