Bottle #ロングロウ(LONGROW)
It had the unique aroma as expected. Longrow LONGROW 1987-1999 SAMAROLI 'TO CELEBRATE 2000' 55% The nose features lemon-infused vanilla cream, strong Gorgonzola cheese, apricot jam, a touch of tar and creosote, youthful malty sweetness, and robust peat. On the palate, it has a concentrated texture with bite, even stronger Gorgonzola than the nose, a rich sweetness with citrus acidity, rustic malty character with savory depth, and peaty finish that lingers long. 【Very Good】 Samaroli bottled this Longrow 1987 to commemorate the year 2000, with bottling occurring in 1999 at cask strength. Among many Samaroli Longrow 1987 bottlings (including watered-down versions), the distinctive aroma and flavor reminiscent of Gorgonzola cheese was clearly evident from both nose and palate. The slightly powdery, concentrated texture with a satisfying bite was also impressive. Fresh citrus notes, strong peat character, and sufficient malty sweetness were all well-balanced. While Samaroli's Longrow 1987 has its unique nuances, this bottling allowed full enjoyment of the powerful, rich cask strength character. This would be an easy identification in a blind tasting.
