The maltiness is comforting, with hints of peat, leaving a pleasant fruity finish. Although it's cask strength, the alcohol content is slightly lower than usual. The aroma and flavor display a substantial maturation as expected, yet the diverse fruits and floral elements remain natural rather than overt. The impression is akin to a middle ground between the intensely fruity Duncan Taylor Long Finish and the rustic Diageo Special Releases. The sufficient fruitiness, well-balanced maltiness, and subtle intoxication evoke a refined finish. Indeed, this series is exceptional.
