A good barley note comes through from the back. When drinking, it has a rich sweet honey flavor with orange, vanilla, oak, and a slightly spicy pepperiness. The texture is chewy with the umami of barley. 【Good/Very Good】 This is a single cask BUNNAHABHAIN 1987, bottled by BBR for WHISK-E. The cask is likely a refilled bourbon hogshead, and it's quite a good cask. It lacks the roughness of raw wood and delivers a nice spiciness. The aroma offers a diverse range of fruity notes, including orange, apple, and faint pear. There's also a strong honey note with a moderate barley presence. When tasted, the deep and rich honey sweetness is very impressive. The chewy texture also adds to its appeal. There's no unpleasant aftertaste, and it is already at an ideal drinking stage. As a new release, the bottle feels fully matured. Interestingly, it lacks the rustic or harsh characteristics often associated with BUNNAHABHAIN. This is an exceptionally well-crafted BUNNAHABHAIN, and I believe they selected a very good cask for this new release.
