Bottle #アベラワー(ABERLOUR)
A richly detailed Aberlour expression, I believe this is a fine release from JWWW. Aberlour ABERLOUR 1988-2014 26yo JACK WIEBERS WHISKY WORLD 'OLD TRAIN LINE' #05291 52.9% One of 240 bottles, BOURBON CASK The aroma features orange liqueur, heated apple, vanilla cream, matured barley notes, and black tea. On the palate, it expands with a rich, powerful flavor, gradually revealing spiciness, subtle peach and pineapple notes, a sweet depth, pleasant oak, a touch of orange oil, and a rich, long finish. [Good/Very Good] From Jack Wiebers Whisky World's Old Train Line series, this is Aberlour 1988, aged 26 years. Although bottled in 2014, it has recently arrived in Japan. The impression is a thick and diverse fruitiness with a balanced maturity, particularly notable for its orange curaçao-like aroma that carries through to an orange oil finish. Elements like vanilla cream, black tea, and oak add depth to the aroma, with the intense flavor continuing through a long finish. While it shows more cask aging characteristics than the original spirit, I believe this is a well-released bottling that stops just short of over-aging. #Aberlour (ABERLOUR)
