On the palate, it expands with a rich, powerful flavor, gradually revealing spiciness, subtle peach and pineapple notes, a sweet depth, pleasant oak, a touch of orange oil, and a rich, long finish. [Good/Very Good] From Jack Wiebers Whisky World's Old Train Line series, this is Aberlour 1988, aged 26 years. Although bottled in 2014, it has recently arrived in Japan. The impression is a thick and diverse fruitiness with a balanced maturity, particularly notable for its orange curaçao-like aroma that carries through to an orange oil finish. Elements like vanilla cream, black tea, and oak add depth to the aroma, with the intense flavor continuing through a long finish.
