It had a stable and delicious flavor. Glenfarclas GLENFARCLAS 1989-2016 26yo OB CHRISTMAS EDITION for Germany 46% One of 1200 bottles, Oloroso Sherry Casks The aroma is rich in sherry, with notes of plum and apricot tea, diluted caramel, a gentle grainy sensation, and richness. When drinking, it starts with a smooth mouthfeel, expanding into plum, tea, a pleasant grainy sensation, a rich sweetness, and a subtle tannic finish reminiscent of the caramel part of pudding. [Good/Very Good] Official Glenfarclas 1989, 26-year-old maturation. This is the Christmas label for Germany this year. While we have bottled Christmas labels for two years through the whisky forum, the original is this German edition. The sherry character is present but not overpowering, covering the overall profile. Impressively, plum and apricot notes along with a tea-like quality were felt both in the aroma and flavor. A pleasant grainy sensation remains, and with the addition of water, the balance is well-maintained. It already feels quite refined as a new release. #Glenfarclas (GLENFARCLAS)
